The East Rift Valley was formed by the collision between the Eurasian Continental plate and the Philippine Sea plate. Located right in the central part of the Valley, the geological landscape around Reisuei is further complicated by the Siouguluan River that cuts right across the area. The Wuhe Terrace lies at the meeting point of the oceanic plate and the continental plate and is shaped by the deposits of the Siouguluan River.
The local scenery and diverse geological landscape are breathtaking. The climate here is favorable for tea growing, giving the tea a distinctive difference from any other tea in Taiwan. Local specialties include the Tianhe Tea, known for its refreshing sweet aroma, and the Jincyuan tea with its subtle milky fragrance.
